Who else besides me loves the dollar store??

Money is tight lately and I have learned to love the dollar soap, dishwasher detergent, garbage bags, foil, sandwich bags, etc. It all works just as good as the name brands I used to buy and I save a TON of money.

  • OOH I DO I DO! We always go there for popcorn (its name brand, half the price), pretzels, small kitchen gadgets like clips, toothpicks, etc., hair accessories, and party stuff.

  • I LOVE the Dollar Tree!!! Whenever we need household goods, I go up there before I go to Walmart to see if they have the stuff I need. And whenever I just have a few extra bucks, I go see what kind of goodies they have! A couple weeks ago I got a 3-pack of really cute head bands and a pair of flipflops :-)

  • I love it too. Especially since we have a REAL dollar store here. Everything, literally, costs a dollar. I got $50 worth of stuff for $7 and some change. Carpet cleaner, popouri, popouri bowl, cleaning gloves, air freshner(2 types). If I would've gone to walmart, it probably would've been close to $50. And yeah, it works just as well as the normal stuff. I just wish my dollar store was bigger and had more things.

And when I was there, I saw cheap ways to finally finish the mother's day baskets for our moms(that's how tight money has been lately). But I can almost completely finish their baskets for like maybe $10 total. Pretty cool if you ask me. I'll have to splurge at a craft store for the shredded colored paper though because my dollar store doesn't have any.

  • I like their paint supplies, party supplies and school supplies. They even sometimes have scrapbooking stuff and I love the pool toys. I dont usually buy shampoo and conditioner in there or household products because per oz, I still think its cheaper than walmart. My husband has a trash bag peeve. I cannot buy anything other than GLAD or HEFTY trashbags. He takes the trash out and if the bags are cheap...he throws a fit. SO I do exactly what he asks, but I am all about saving money too. Love a deal on anything.

  • Dollar Tree makes it possible to keep party supplies, gift accessories and prizes for Sunday School kids. We have 2 Dollar Tree's and one is a giant, so lots of choices there.
