Make sure you give her/him lots of tummy time, and if you have a floor with tile or wooden floors, that even better, because the baby will be able to slide its body around on the floor better. That way they find out how to make their body do things. Other than that, I don't really think you can do anymore. I used to sit behind my daughter, when she was on her stomach, and hold her legs, and when she would stretch her legs out, she would automatically move forward. I guess that can also help them realise that they can move their body.
