How much can safely lift during pregnancy?

  • I wasnt told but I lift my son who is 37 pounds and dont notice anything wrong with it. As cold as this may sound, I am not going to let my 2 children be pushed aside and treated any differently then they were pre-pregnancy just because I got pregnant

  • if it's a normal pregnancy, you don't have any risks or anything...then i'd say about 35lbs. you may think that's high, but when you're pregnant with a 1 year old that wants to be held, then you realize that's nothing. :)

  • i was told no more than 15 lbs in the first trimester after that nothing that was difficult to lift. i tried not to lift anything heavier than my daughter who weighed 35 lbs. at the time

  • i have lifted my purse during pregnancy thats all my husband allows but i wouldnt exceed 15 to 20 lbs i think its the limit

  • My doctor wrote 25 pounds on my FMLA form.
