Is ADD , Autism etc........linked to a mother's nutrition while pregnant? Any supplements help?

I have heard so much controversy about this! Like natural treatments for kids with attention difficulties........... or not eating foods with mercury while your pregnant?

  • Eat a healthy diet with fruits & vegetables (7-8 servings a day, in at least 3 different colors), whole grains (6-7 servings a day), beans, lentils, tofu (these are loaded with calcium, iron, etc.). take a good prenatal vitamin. Drink lots of water. Do your own research, don't listen to the opinions of moms.

  • From what I have been learning in Developmental Psychology, it isn't about the health of the mother but genetics. It is a genetic predisposition that may be triggered by environmental factors. It is always best to eat properly and healthy though. Do research on your own, talk to your doctor or a pediatrician and make your own decisions.
