Up until what age is a newborn considered?

Just something I've always wondered. What age does a newborn turn into an infant??

  • i would say 3 months or till they grow out of their newborn clothes.......

  • most clothing goes by weight....8lbs and under is newborn others 8lbs =12 lbs is 0-3 months ect....

  • If we would have went by what the clothing labels said, my little girl would never have been considered a new born. She was 8lbs 11oz. My little girl out grew newborn clothing by 2 weeks. I consider them a newborn till 8 weeks (2 months). When they can start doing more.
