why?

why is it questions regarding needing actual help only get like 5-6 responses yet all these stupid drama starter questions get 70-100 answers?

  • Try a catchy title like "Help" or "Why?" ... that was a good one. Or leave the title unfinished like "Do you think...?" It has to do with attention span, curiosity and follow the leader. They more people actually read your question, the more likely you will get answers. Sometimes people won't offer help because they genuinely don't know the answer and don't want to give bad advice...though that isn't always true.

  • ...also, if someone reads a question and sees that someone has already answered they may not want to take the time to repeat the answer. Multiple posts usually have to do with disagreements about advice or additional info they think is important. Once the question is answered why bother. Drama is about disagreement or additional opinion and therefore generates multiple answers.

  • Sometimes people just answer because they want to be nice to the OP. Maybe they are friends, or they think the question is important and just want to say hey, kudos, or yup.
