11:54am My kids wont get out of bed

It's 11:54 AM, not sure what I did to make my kids so dang tired! My 2 year old just informed me to "Get Out" of his room while he rolled over falling back to sleep. Thats more movent than I got from his younger brother, who really just opened his eyes when I walked into the room. Shuting them pretty fast, and falling back to sleep. This is a first, maybe its the dark skys & rain. I dunno, but has anyone else had young kids act this way? Should I be worried? Or just let them sleep until they wake up?

  • I would check for fever's.....if they have none, then i gues let them sleep, when they decide to wake up, as long as they are acting normal, they are probably fine. I get sleepy on dark rainy days too...lol. Hope all is well. :D

  • Lucky you! I would go back to sleep myself....It must be something in the air. Usually my daughter wakes up at 7 every morning. This morning was weird. There was a loud thunderstorm. It woke me up. I thought for sure it would wake her up. At 8:30 I got really nervous because she still was not awake. I went in her room and she was passed out. Usually she will wake up if I open the door but she didn't I had to wake her up. I just put her down for her nap and usually she plays for about 15 minutes then goes to sleep but she went right to sleep.

  • They went to bed by 10pm. Little later than normal. I'd love to fall back to sleep, but I know that wont happen. So I'm going to sit, and enjoy reading my book in silence! This is very not normal considering we usually start our day around 6-7am.

  • it its necessary to get them up, try a water gun. couple shots in the face alwyas got me up. or take the covers, tickle the toes, blow raspberries on teh belly button, bounce on the bed, drag the out by their feet...no rule says you can't have fun waking them up...no rule says they can't either.

  • Well, I would say enjoy it! My boys are 2 and 3 and rarely sleep past 8:30 and they go down at 9. I would however check for fevers,or just keep an eye out as they may be coming down with a bug. Mine will sleep when not feeling well. Good luck, hope all is well.

  • The water gun sounds like a fun idea! But I doubt if I'll climb in my son (15 months old) to bounce on his bed!
