Moms with kids under 5, what are their fav dinners?

I don't know why I have such a hard time feeding my kids, seems they eat the same things over and over again. Now I'll be working from home an extra day a week (3 days home, 2 days in the office) and will have more time to make things ahead. I'd love to know what your little ones will devour. Thanks!

  • I was on a schedule mac n cheese, kids cuisine, chicken fries.........repeat. Now I make dinner and he eats what I make. Otherwise he goes without. I don't have time (with the new baby) to try and make each person something. Believe it or not, they will eat what they are given, if they are hungry enough. So now he'll eat spaghetti, pork chops, chicken breasts, tuna casserole (he loves this one).

  • They would have macaroni & cheese or hotdogs every night if i let them. So when they seem to eat that stuff a lot, i make veggies on the side, like steamed brocoli or carrots, anything thats healthy. Try to make up for it, ya know....lol.

  • My 5yr old is a good eater...he loves veggies. But the 7yr old is a bit picky.

But both of them like boneless skinless chicken breasts with green beans, rice or noodles. They of course love mac and cheese, they both like tuna casserole, hamburgers, they love pasta.

  • Spaghetti, my 2 year old loves it it's a bit messy but he eats the heck out of it... Which for him is amazing he's soooo picky with his food, if it's not dry cereal, teddy grams, little fruit pieces, Snack stuff he's not putting it in his mouth. trying to make a balanced meal that he will eat is "fun"

  • anything with pasta homemade or canned. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes are a huge hit with my son. Blueberry pancakes. I use real bluberry's and add to the batter. not the imitation blueberry pancake mix. french toast and what I do is make a big batch freeze them individually then add to a freezer bag. pop them in the toaster! when he wants one. It's cheaper and more healthy then the box stuff.
chicken noodle soup and the kind with shaped pasta, green beans from the can, grilled cheese. Tator tot hotdish. chicken nuggets, tenders and he will eat hamburgers and hot dogs only with ketchup.

  • I should also add that since he has heard the Wiggles song "fruit salad" he loves fresh fruit. Mainly the melons but it's great because you can leave it out and not worry about it spoiling. also jello with fruit added and manderin oranges with cottage cheese. flavor applesauce , yoplait light yogurt in the dessert flavors, like "banana cream pie" "apple turnover"
