  • Does she eat food? Prunes or applesauce is always good. Extra liquid should help but not immediately. If it's bad you can get the little suppositories. They are just glycerine not anything harmful.

  • My Dr. recommended pear juice. When she was 4 months, we would only give 1 1/2 oz a day. Now that she is 6 months, she might have 2 oz or 2 1/2 oz. It works for her.

  • Sugars block you up! They cause constipation! Go to walmart and get baby suppositories. Baby will poop in about 20 minutes and it will be over with! The suppositories are just glycerin and doctor says they are perfectly safe! They work like a charm on my 5 month old! Prune juice in some kids can give them tummy cramps for the entire day so be careful.

  • KARO SYRUP(THE DARK KIND) WORKED BEST FOR MY DAUGHTER...SHE IS 7 MONTHS OLD AND SOMETIMES STILL NEEDS IT...PRINCEZZMOMMIE IS RIGHT JUST A TABLESPOON AND IF IT DOESNT DO ANYTHING THEN ADD HALF A TABLESPOON TO THAT...GOOD LUCK:)))

  • Ok first off why do you think shes constipated? Is she straining or passing pellets?
Second, the makers of Karo Syrup do not recommend using their product on infants as it is NOT a sterile product and carries a risk of botulism (just like honey).
Applesauce is actually a poop thickener (remember the BRAT diet for stomach problems?) Prunes are the best way to go if you don't want to use medicines yet. Juice, paste, or just the dried fruit all work well!
