What temp should my pool be in order to take my son in?

My son is 5 mon and i wanna take him in the pool how warm does it have to be?

  • Babies don't have really good body temperature control until 6 months and after. It needs to be like bathwater, and preferably not exposed to the sun.

  • It can be any temp. HOWEVER - if it's not bathwater temp, then keep a close eye on him and take him out if he seems to be getting cold and don't stay in longer than 1/2 an hour.

    The YMCA near me has all of it's classes for babies and preschoolers in their therapy pool for that reason. It's a bathwater temp.
