am i cheating? (school)

i took this class last semester and failed because i had to take my son to the hospital several times due to ear infections and missed classes. i am currently re-taking the class online and i have the book from last semester with all the answers i wrote down. i feel like im cheating because im not actually doing any work.. just re-typing the answers and sending them to the teacher. what do you think?

  • No, you're not cheating. Any good student would have taken notes and such. They know that you are retaking this class and the professor must remember you. He/she hasn't changed the tests or homeworks, obviously. No, you are not cheating at all, but merely taking advantage of your previous note taking skills.

  • I would say no because you did the work the first time. If it were a book that someone else had done the work in then it would be cheating.

  • Just as long as you really know the answers too. If you are just copying the answers and don't know the info why take the class, if you are paying for it.

  • no you are not cheating. in high school i had to retake a class because the two different schools i went to called the same class by two different names but used the same exact book. i turned in already graded work. ms cruiz would give me a funny look when i would turn in a chapter review that ms young had already graded but why should i do it twice?
i got an a in that class.

  • no it's not cheating. Learning is learning. How you retain the information for the tests is what's important to the school.

  • as long as YOU did the work the first time and you remember it so when it is time for a test you will pass then I don't think it is cheating...just make sure you can pass that test.
