diflucan\safe,not safe ?

am 36 wks, my doctor prescribed my fluconazole for my yeast infection today which is the generic version of diflucan.
of what i have researched diflucan is not suppose to be taken while pregnant. but my doctor said it was ok..
i'm thinking i should just ride it out and start the meds after baby is born..
why would he prescribe me apill that wouldn't be 100 percent ok.
has anyone else had an issue like this ?

  • I would call him with your concerns. Nothing is really safe to take during pregnancy but I think depending how far along you are has a lot to do with what they will give you. I think you should try to clear up the yeast infection because I think (not sure) it can spread to the baby? IDK, give your doc a call and double check!
