  • With my daughter, I used to wipe her after every diaper change....never really thought about it, I just did it automatically. Then with my son, my pedi told me not to wipe after pee diapers because his skin was so sensitive he would get diaper rash. I think, as long as they are getting a bath every night, it's not a big deal. I mean, as long as the diaper isn't sopping wet, their skin is dry when you take it off. That's the same thing toilet paper does...dries the pee off our skin. It doesn't actually *wash* anything away.

  • I would say about 95% of the time I do wipe him after a wet diaper. I wouldnt want to sit in pee all day.

  • I do, just because you can't see the pee on them doesn't mean it isn't on them and can't irritate the skin.

  • I always do...just because bacteria can harbor in thier little creases. I know a lot of moms who do not though.

  • I was getting really lazy with this, but I've started to wipe after most pee diapers again. It really is best to wipe them. In fact, I remember when DD was younger and I saw a friend not wipe his daughter's behind after a pee diaper. I was horrified! But then I found myself doing it many months later. LOL
