Are there any good children's books about Daddies I can give to my husband (soon to be first time dad) for Father's day?

  • "Me & my Dad" compiled by Stuart Hample is a collection of hand-written notes about dads by kids. Very cute. Ex:

"I can talk with him about a lot of things I can't talk with my mom about. But I'm not going to write it down because we'd get in trouble. - Sanford"

"He doesn't play video games very good. But he does it with me anyway when I feel sad. Then I feel better and he feels sad because I wipe him out every time. - Jesse"

"When we were playing freeze tag I farted and my dad said 'You're out! That's a move!' And we all laughed our heads off. - Maxine"

"When me and my dad play tickle monster sometimes he laughs so hard it feels like the house will fall down. - Toni"

"When I swing in the park my dad pushes me so I go up to the sky. I wish he would do it forever because it's the best thing of anything. - Jeremy"

  • Are you looking for children's books? I bought this book called "Daddy Cuddles". Cute little book about how all different animals cuddle with their babies. I think you can google the title and it will come up.

  • I was at Shopko last week, and they had a display of books about Daddies near the cards and stationary. They were very cute!

  • Try "Passing By" by Yona Tepper. It's about a little girl who watches the world go by on her balcony. And then she sees her favorite thing: Her Daddy coming home from work!
