  • It all depends on your childs size. Normally a 2 year old would wear a 2T, a 3 year old would wear 3T, so on and so forth. But each child is different.

  • 2t is about the same as 24 months. Its depends on your kid though. My friend's baby is 6 mos. and wears 18 mos. clothes so she will be in 2t before she is 1. My baby wears exactly his age in clothes.

  • I thought it went like this:
18-24 months in age- they would wear 24 months clothes
2 years and whatever months - they would wear 2t
    about 3 years - move into 3t

  • my kid is 6 months wears newborn size shorts still lol so who knows!

  • It depends on the child and the brand of clothing. I think "theoretically" it would follow what MoonLover06 said, but I haven't met too many children who actually fell into that mold. My 17mo wears 2T and some 3T (mostly dresses because she's long-waisted and 2T seem to run too short). My 3 yo wears 3T and 4T. My 4yo wears 5T and some XS girls clothes. My baby is chubby, but the other two are nowhere close to being overweight. Kids just grow differently...

  • It's really trial and error - my son is 4 and where 5 on top, but still fits 3T on bottom. His top has always been a size larger (and 1 number above his year), so when he was 1, he wore 24Mos or 2T on top, when 3 he wore 4T, so on. But on bottom, he's been on the smaller side (thanks to his narrow waist). So the age/size is guideline only and you'll just have to learn through trial and error and growth spurts what works best for your child.

  • They are general guidelines but dont always work. My DD started in 2T at 13 mo.!

  • DD is 2.5 and wearing some 3-6 months (mostly Gymboree brand), 6-12 months (Old Navy, Wal-Mart, The Children's Place, and some boutique brands run really large like Indygo) and SOME 12-18 months (Some boutique brands run really small like Baby Nay and Baby LuLu). She's 30 inches and 19lbs.
