  • My pediatrician told me to start cereal at 4 months, and after a few weeks of that to slowly start trying veggies and fruits. I didnt start the meats until 6 months and he doesn't like them at all.

  • We started our first at almost 5 months, but quite honestly I wish we would have waited... our second we started at 6 months and she didn't really care about it until 7 months, when all the sudden she could actually swallow it correctly! I wouldn't rush it.

  • my pedi told me 4 mos with cereal, and 5 mos stage 1 food, 6 mos stage 2. but only if they are ready. good sign, are they tring to grab your food at the dinner table, or swat at it at 4 mos. but it all depends on your child, i would wait and ask your pedi.

  • Our doctor says 4 months for a formula-fed baby and 6 months for a breastfed baby. They also say that you can start with cereal, fruit or vegetables. At 6 months and one week, I gave my son green peas.
