  • When he just could not be contained by it any longer...and I am a good swaddler...but, once they can just kick right on out..I quit.

  • We started transitioning both daughter (1.5 years apart) at around 6 months of age. For my first daughter, it was because she was flipping onto her tummy while swaddled. For my second, it was because it worked so well with my first! We took out one arm for a few nights, then 2 arms, and then finally put them in a Halo Sleep sack (so they still felt something around them. Soon after, they were both sleeping better than ever on their tummies.

  • My daughter was swaddled until 6 months but we had to work to get her out of it. Around 5 months she started hating to be put in the swaddle, but once in, slept very well all night. Around 5.5 months she would literally scream her head off to put her in, but still slept well, so around 6 months we started to take one arm out, and then we took two arms out a week later (one night I had to swaddle her completely because she got so worked up), then I started to loosen the swaddle on the bottom until one ngiht it was just around her legs, but not fastened, and then we moved here into a halo sleep sack for a good month, then off to real PJs - they are SOO cute!
