How long after you lost your mucus plug/had bloody show did you go into labor?

I lost a lot more of my mucus plug today and there was some blood in it.

I told my doctor and she said "that's good. That's means things are moving along toward labor"

SO I'm curious...How long after you lost yours with bloody show did you go into labor?

  • A week after I lost mine I had still not gone into labor. I ended up getting induced about a week after that. I don't think it means labor is coming really quickly for all women.

  • Like an hour but I was already going into labor, I had a really short labor though of three hours. With my first pregnancy I was induced and I lost my bloddy show maybe three hours before delivering. It's different for everyone and every pregnancy.

  • Ya my doctor said that in her experience it's usually anywhere from right away to 2 weeks. She said they can regenerate but that that is pretty unusual when you are already term.
