Need advice on weights......

I have been working out for a couple months now. i don't really need to lose weight but just want to tone up. Should I do more weight/less reps or less weight/more reps? I am slinder and I don't want to be bulky. i want to stay slender looking with some good muscle tone and definition! Help! I also do 30 min. cardio a couple times a week!

  • My suggestion would be to do BOTH! Alternate each day and don't worry about bulking up, you won't look like a muscle bound monkey any time soon.

  • Women build muscle differently than men so don't worry too much about bulking up. I personally do about 20-30 minutes of cardio 5x a week and I alternate lifting arms/abs and legs every other day. I usually lift for 30-45 minutes. I am muscular, but not "bulky".
