  • In a nutshell, Muslims don't believe in Jesus as a Son of God, or as God..we believe in him as a prophet sent by God to spread a message. We do believe the some God as Christians and Jews, we are part of 3 religions of Abraham, Islam, Christianity and Judaism. If you want more detailed information I would check out a reputable source.

  • Essa (Jesus) is the Son of Mary, He was created by the word Be. We believe he is the Messiah that was awaited. He is not the son of God, Nor is he Lord. He is a prophet of God, as my sister in islam said. We believe in his second coming. We believe in him and what was sent to him (the bible in it's original form).

  • Verses from the Quran

Jesus - The Messenger of Allah

Allaah mentions, "(Remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah gives you the glad tidings of a Word ["Be!" - and he was! i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allah." [Qur'an, 3:45]

  • And, "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but the truth. The messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah and His Word, ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him; so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One Ilâh (God), Glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allâh is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs." [Qur'an, 4:171]

  • I guess i forgot to answer part of your question. We believe in the creator and we do not believe that you can call him anything you want. I call him by one of his 99 names that were revealed to us. i believe that the words, Allah, God, dios, dieu are interchangable. and all mean the same thing. However , if you call God a Goddess, i reject that. since God didn't reveal He is a goddess, he calls himself Ilah (which is God) He says he is ONE Ilah (one God). He calles himself Allah. He calls himself Merciful, Most Forgiving, Ever Living, Omnipotent, All knowing, All seeing all Hearing, The loving, The Most Generous..etc.. We do not call him Jesus or any other human name. We do not believe that his characteristics are like ours.. although we believe he has eyes, that he has hands we do not know or believe that the hands and eyes are like ours. We know that he rises but we don't know how. We dont believe he lives in us.

  • We believe he is outside of his creation (meaning he does not dwell within his creation) We believe He is in control of everything and disposes all affairs. We believe he gives life and causes death. We believe in resurrection and judgment. We believe in paradise and hell. We believe he sent us messengers and prophets and we believe in angels, and the last day.
