Name

My husband and i just found out we're having a baby girl and wanted to name her after my hubbys sister, Annastaciea Mariea (dont post answers about spelling thats how her name was spelt) but we cant decide between Annastaciea or Stacy, or to use his sisters nick name Tsuki-Ame (Japanese for Moon Rain) since his sis was not fond of her real name. What one do all of you other moms think we should go with?

  • If you are wanting to pay tribute to your husband's sister by naming your daughter after her I would go with the name that she liked. If she did not like the name Annastasiea then I would go with Tsuki-Ame. I think it would be a better way to honor her.

  • I like Annastasia but spelled like this. You dont want her spending her whole life correcting everyone who writes her name.

Stacy is too common, Tsuki-ame is too strange.

  • What if you gave your daughter a first name that you love and give Tsuki-Ame or Annastaciea as the middle name? Or you could also call her Stacia(prn: Staysha or Stah-see-ah)

It would be in honor of her, yet, not her exact copy.

  • Tsuki-Ame I may be the odd one here but I really like that. But I agree with the other moms with if his sister didn't like her real name then your DD might not like it either. Go with what you think is best.
