How soon can you tell the gender of the baby with an ultrasound?

  • Typically 20 weeks. I've heard people found out sooner though like 18 weeks.

  • Usually they confirm gender at 20 weeks. I had mine done at 19 weeks and my sister had hers done at 14 weeks, then they later confirmed it at 20 weeks.

  • Mine was confirmed at 21 weeks. The doc tried to look sooner but couldn't tell.

  • Typically for most acurate results would be at 20 weeks. Or just shy of a couple of days sometimes.

  • Anywhere between 18 to 20 is when you'll get the most accurate answers for checking the first time, until later on anyways.
