Is your nipple a lighter shade than your areola? Is that normal?

  • yea, my nipples were always more pink than my areolas..which were more a brownish color to them...

  • Wasn't for me. How light are we talking? Blanched white? That could be nipple blanching. Info on kellymom.com about that.

  • Mine was for a short time but it went away. I think it has to do with all the moisture. How far into bf are you?

  • My areola is darker, yes, but not by a whole lot... it's also a bit pink which mine always are while nursing!

  • My areolas are very pale and nearly blend in with my very pale skin but have more of a light tan tint. My nipples are slightly rosy pink. I have been nursing for 11 months so far and they have been this way pretty much since my baby was born.
