Is it safe to take a bath or sit in a pool with a placental abruption?

I was just diagnosed with a very early placental abruption, and wanted to double check before getting in the bath tub. I can't find anything about it online. Does anyone know?

  • I would think it is a bad idea- I had placental abruption, and I am wondering why you arent in the hospital. Keep in mind this is VERY serious, and can have serious outcome for you and your baby. I would call the doc just in case though.

  • As long as your water is intact I would see no problem.
