What is the diffrence between Zoloft and the Generic brand?

Is there much if a difference or is it just the name? are the ingredients the same or what? My dr put me on Zoloft but because i am on DSHS medical i have to have the generic brand.

  • Nothing. The generic is the exact same ingredients as the name brand. Name brand drugs only get an "esclusive" right to sell their drugs for only soo many years. After that expires, then any drug company can make it and market it as the generic equivelant.

  • Either one is fine, as long as they are combined with therapy.
