I found a website http://defendmichael.wordpress.com/ and googling reveals it to be a true case. I can't believe we convicted a soldier for killing a known terrorist let alone doing it in self defense.
I plan to do some more research to make sure this website is correct then I will be donating (which I never do) and writing letters on his behalf.
Does anyone know about this case or this soldier?

There is much more to the story. IMO the US military does not have the right to abuse or torture a prisoner when they have no just cause. My husband is Air Force and he does not agree with this type of stuff either. Here's more informative articles:
