How early should I send out my save the date cards for my wedding???

  • probably about 12 weeks. you send out the actual invitations no later than 6 weeks prior. So I think giving them another 6 weeks is good.

  • I'd say about 2 months before the wedding.. 3-7 months if they live out of state or may have prior commitments if not notified in advance.

  • I sent mine out like 6 months out. We planned our wedding for a year. Many of my relatives travel and plan trips out months in advance so they appreciated the cards being sent out then so they could make it. I sent my wedding invitations 6 weeks out.

  • I agree- 6 months is great especially if its a warm weather wedding. We love to camp and take trips so I am always happy to get a heads up on what is coming down the pike so I don't miss anything!

  • 6-8 mos is always what I've heard as well. plus that way no one can use the excuse "already had plans" as to why they couldn't make it lol.

  • I say alteast 3 months before the wedding. If not 4 or 5.
    The actual invitations go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding.

    I sent out save the date cards for my wedding.
