Does pregnancy causes joint pain in hands?

I'm just curious, because every morning this past month, my hands have hurt so bad when I get up. They don't appear swollen, maybe a little, but when I bend my fingers, some times it feels like they are about to break off! So I'm guessing this is another one of the random things caused by pregnancy?

  • Yup one of the many wonderful things about being doc said it was from the extra pressure on your nerves and it helps if when you are sleeping to keep yours hands from under your head or body.

  • yes, especially if I didn't sleep on my side like I was supposed to. I had to put a body pillow behind me to keep me from rolling over.
