small gushing sensations, with fluid leaking, and contractions getting stronger, and stronger.. is that labor?

im 38 weeks

  • so you have been timing them? How far apart are they and how long do they last for? If your water did break your OB usually gives you 24 hours to have the baby, some give you 48 hours. I personally would not go to the hospital until my contractions were about 4 min apart for at least an hour, even if my water broke already. Also, try and sit in the bath for awhile (you can do this even if your water breaks as long as your bathtub is clean) and relax, or get up and start walking around if you were sitting for awhile and see if your contractions get stronger.
