  • the hard spots are just where the baby is at.. its normal.. and youll notice it more and more the bigger the baby gets....

everything you just mentioned is normal.

  • If the pains are more than very minor or are regular then you need to call your doctor. Don't panic! It's probably nothing, but it's better to be safe than sorry, and menstrual-like cramps are a sign of preterm labor.

Drink a big glass of water (dehydration makes your uterus irritable) and get off your feet. If they don't stop then call your OB's answering service or L&D and ask them what you should do. T

The hard spots sound like either the baby moving around or braxton hicks, which are normal. The back pain is normal for a lot of women too. But if the back pain seems related to the cramps, then it's not just an ache. And the cramps can also be normal, but they can also be telling you something.

PM me if you have any other questions about this. :)

  • As a pp said, the hard spots are probably the baby's head, butt or feet. And this will continue for the rest of your pregnancy. The baby is running out of room, so he/she will stop kicking and instead push with feet and head in that cramped little space.

If at some point it seems your entire belly is hard, then that would probably be braxton hicks. They aren't really painful, but very uncomfortable. It is like having a watermelon for a belly. You can't really bend around it.

You just have to remember that it is only another 12 weeks. Which I know seems like a lifetime right now, but it really isn't that long.
