Do babies sit up before learning to crawl or vice versa??

LOL sorry i dont know i feel silly asking.. but my 4 month old has been trying to sit up lately.

  • yeah i think so, but im sure theres always those moms whos babies crawled before learning to sit i dont really know that but

I would think they need to sit up first because then they know how to balance and such

thats a good one now im curious to see what others have to say

  • My son did. Some babies are different, so its hard to say yes for everyone. But I'm pretty sure most babies do.

  • Typically...sitting up is the first milestone or I think it comes after rolling over. Anyway just so u know not all babies crawl but its not considered a milestone. My dd was about the same age as yours when starting. Now she's 9 months and crawling! It goes by so fast =(
