sharpie off a whiteboard?

hey ladies any tips? i tried alcohol on a cotton ball didn't seem to do anything, maybe i need some more elbow grease, any other ideas?

  • liquid comit. ...this happened at my work just last week when we asked housekeeping if they had anything she used a cleaner that looked like comit in a paste form. it came right off

  • Did you use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol? They have slightly different structures. The ethanol should get it right off. The higher the concentration, the better. So start off by trying your cheap vodka.

  • this sounds crazy but i think i remember reading somewhere that you actually write over the sharpie with the dry erase markers and then it should wipe off with the eraser. i guess the ink from the sharpie stick to the ink with the dry erase pens and so they both just wipe off.
