i think my 10 yr old is depressed.the camping trip was this weekend.she said she hung around with kids that werent even from our town.i have taken her to therapy and they said she was fine.well only to find outshe is an empath but i think this is getting out of control and she is getting depressed.she is sad about something but i dont know what.she said to me today what are we going to do on wednesday if i dont have any one to play with?that really got to me.please dont tell me to put her in girl scouts cause thats where this started from a agressive troop can i tell if thereis something truly going on with her because she is so reserved and quiet she doesnt say to much...

  • I noticed you haven't gotten any answers and that is because your question is confusing. " find oushe is an empath"? What camping trip - how many days? School is not even over. You need to spend more time on your question for people to help.

  • Find a different counselor and have her evaluated. If she is depressed it will affect every aspect of her life. She will be withdrawn, she may eat less or more. She may act out, her grades may suffer. She may look sad and lonely. After getting her evaluated, get her into some new actvities...crafts, church groups, sports. Make sure she knows you are there for her and she will eventually open up.

  • Get her a diary or journal and tell her to start writing in it. If she can get out some of her feelings it may help. Then talk to her about what is going on. Is she having a problem with friends? It sounds like it from your post.  She might want to read some of the books for her age about making and keeping friends
