weezing sounds while breast feeding

my 5 month old has started makinging a weezing sound every now and then when breastfeeding, should i call the doctor?

  • my 3 month old makes a sort of squeaky sound while breastfeeding. but she also does it sometimes when she isn't eating. I don't know if it's the same sort of noise, but I'm not too concerned about the one my DD makes. If you are concerned, don't hesitate to call the doctor- that's what they're there for!

  • my DD used to sound like a little motorboat....she would do it while nursing and while falling asleep...she still does once in a while..

  • since he's breathing through his nose, its probably just mucus in his nose & throat. unless theres a cough or difficulty breathing accompanying it, i probably wouldn't worry. my son still wheezes a little cuz thers a little mucus left from when he was sick the last few days. nothign harmful as long as he still can breathe
