what is good for sunburns?

i took my kids to the lake saturday, and i never go into lake water. my kids got me out there and now i have a bad sunburn on my back. it still hurts, and it itches really bad. i have taken benadryl, calmine lotion, and aloe vera and it don't burn as bad but still itches like crazy. what can i do to make it stop itching?

  • Bactine-its good for sunburns and it has a pain reliever in it

  • Distilled white vinegar. Wipe it all over the burn. It will take away the sting, I kid you not.

  • itching is probably the skin starting to peel. i dont know what to do about that. maybe calamine lotion-works for chicken pocks (sp?)

  • Rip up some brown paper bags and soak them in vinegar. Layer the pieces on your back and it will take the sting/itch away.
