  • It should specify on your sheet your job search options, i was given internet, mail, walk in, or i guess it depends on whose handling your claim!!! ive applied for over 30 jobs in the past two weeks even though that sheet says like 2 a week!

  • It should be, at least it was in CA. You have to make note of when you applied.

  • Just put the company down. It doesn't matter if it was online or not.

  • Yup. Most jobs are found online these days.

  • Here in VA we had to do it in person. We had to have the specific name of the person we spoke with or handed our resume or application to. Many job listings in the newspaper just tell you to fax your resume to some number they list, but they don't tell you the company or the person who will be receiving the fax, so unemployment will not accept that as a job search. If a resume or application is filled out online, then the name of the person who received it has to be reported on the claim form or it is an invalid job search.
That's the way it is here in VA anyway.
