ideas for healthy but fun snacks for 8-10 year olds??

  • My kids are 5 and 8...they love melon balls...I get a big bowl a couple melon ballers...and some melons (honeydew, watermelon, etc) Let them ball itit makes it more fun to eat and less work for you.

  • Ants on a log. celery stalk w/peanut butter spead on it and the rasins are the ants. this is a tasty healtthy fun snack. um sounds good wish i could have some now.

  • home made smoothies. they can pick the ingredients. there are so may fruits, and yogurt and sherbet flavors to play with. (don't forget peanut butter, too!) it's fun, and great for summer.

  • Apples and peanut butter, yogurt, smoothies, baby carrots with their fav dip. Mini pizza's on whole wheat pitas, whole grain waffles with some nutella on top, fruit salad, grape tomatoes, string cheese, pasta salad loaded with veggies, rice cakes, apple sauce....

  • fruit with yogurt dip
    veggies with hummus dip
    sugar snaps (my daughter has eaten a pound in the last two days)
    whole grain noodles and marinara "dip"
    frozen blueberries with a little bit of vanilla ice cream or frozen rice dream
    whole grain waffles with nut or sunflower seed butter and bananas
    frozen banana chunks dipped in chocolate and nuts
