teething and milestones...

So at the same time my DD has started "cruising along furniture" and her two top teeth have broken through! Would this be the reason her sleep is all messed up? She just wakes up crying! Anyone go through this?

  • Teething never affected my son's sleep. However, every time my best friends son would get a new tooth, he would wake up crying in the middle of the night. She would just give him tylenol, feed him and put him back to sleep!

  • it could also be an ear infection. you may want to have her checked, just to be safe. dd went almost a whole year without getting sick & just recently got hit with a few things. the only time she's cried at night was when she had an ear infection. not saying it's not teething, but i didn't even know she had the ear infection because she was acting normally. have you tried hylands teething tablets? they seem to help dd. when it's really bothering her, i give her tylenol as well. you can also try knotting & freezing a wet washcloth, or letting her chew on an unopened ice pop. i wrap a washcloth around the pop with the top sticking out as well. hth, gl & hope she feels better. it's heartbreaking when they cry, but especially so at night or when the are sleeping.
