where can i find a good gift for an autistic three year old?

my soon-to-be 3 year old has autism and his therapist gave me a handful of ideas on what to get him for his bday that would be both fun and beneficial to him. she suggested a sand/water(although with his throwing habit i think we'll stick with just water) table, a little tent/playhouse, one of those tubes he can crawl through, and a mini tramboline. my question is: where can i find something like that thats affordable(remember i still have a party to pay for too)? anyone ever heard of a website with special made toys for autistic toys. im sure any "custom make" place is going to be expensive but at least i could get an idea of what i want. thanks!

  • Toys R Us has some great suggestions for differently-abled kids! As for the other stuff, you can find it just about anywhere like the pp mentioned :)

  • You can get the water table and tent with tunnel at lots of places: walmart, target, toys r us, etc.
The toddler trampoline is a little harder, and more $, but just do an internet search for "toddler trampoline". They will all have handles for the child to hold on to.

  • You should be able to find any of those items at Wal-Mart. I also like the toys from Discovery Toys. If you go to Google and type in Toys for Children with Autism, you will get a long list of sights to try.
