  • Maybe a country cottage? Like a bed'n'breakfast? Just one night maybe.

Or go camping. That is inexpensive and can be very romantic with just the two of you.

  • Even if you just rent a Hotel room in your town that would be great. Your getting away from home, without actually going anywhere. Go to a restraunt you've never been to before, and then go to the hotel.

  • Well if you are in NYC why not drive North to the Adirondack's? Campgrounds are very inexpensive. My favorite in the Adirondack's is Nick's Lake at Old Forge, NY! There are some private beach sites as well as a public beach for all campers. It's beautiful there! The town of Old Forge is also nice, they have a lovely Dinner Cruise that goes around several of the Lakes there (and it's a prime rib dinner, yummy)! Lots of nice restaurants there such as Keyes Pancake House and the Old Red Mill. And it's driving distance to the Adirondack Museum and even Lake Placid. We actualy went camping for our honeymoon and loved's quiet, private and beautiful!
