Why is it that.....

when a mom posts something and people respectfully disagree with her, they are bashing her?

I don't understand why anyone would post something then get mad when someone diagrees. I've seen bashing, i.e. name calling, just plain rudness, etc. But when someone respectfully gives their opinion, which you asked for, it's not bashing to me. Not everyone will agree with you on everything.

  • cuz some people can't take it if you don't agree with them, that means they just need to grow up and realize that the world do't revolve around there little world

  • Two things: First, some moms post just to get validation for what they are doing/thinking/feeling & really don't want advice. Second, sometimes intent or tone gets lost on message boards. I know I am really sarcastic in person at times so I have to be really careful how I come across on the posts.

  • I've seen this too. Many people post things, but really only want answers that agree with their opinion. They aren't open to another viewpoint. Other people just like to start drama, and don't know how to accept varying views. There are even others who just give rude answers, possibly because they aren't happy and being mean allows a release. I ask questions and expect different views, but don't like mean, rude, and disrespectful answers. If it is a hot-button issue, emotions can also get in the way.
