  • Sounds like a heat rash. Try mixing baking soda and water, and using it as a paste, that will relieve the discomfort of the rash. DO NOT use lotion on her, and DO NOT use baby powder, it will be harsh on her skin. Keep her cool, maybe in front of the AC with no shirts on. Good Luck!!

  • Whatever it is (acne, heat rash), it is best to leave it alone. Bathe baby every other day with a gentle soap (or just water) and leave it alone. Most anything you do will just make it worse. It'll go away on its own if its acne. If its heat rash, just make sure baby isn't too hot (i.e. sweaty). If baby does get hot, make sure you change the damp clothes as quickly as possible.

  • when did the rash appear? Did teh rash/bumps appear by any chance AFTER your baby was vaccinated at 4 months?? Could be side effect...

I would listen to PP. Water only, NO LOTION, NO BABY POWDER or anything else made with syntheitic ingredients. California Baby is good but only use in small doses as a 5 week old does not get dirty enough that sitting in water wont help. Also look into what is in your water like chlorine or hard water. has filters.

  • Nothing really but this age is really common to get rashes and pimples. Just make sure she is not dressed too heavily and too hot and let her cool off. It does go away. Just rinse her with cool water and dont put lotion.
