2nd marriage and finances

In a 2nd marriage . who should be listed on the life insurance policy in case my husband dies and who is intitled to pensions . He has a son from the previous marriage . ex wife and son listed on all the above . very confused .

  • Whoever he wants to be on the life insurance policy. As for pensions, it goes to you unless you die then it goes to her.

  • p.s. He can easily make changes through his Finance Dept at work or if he has private insurance, through his agent.

  • really its all up to him whom ever he wants on there he can have no there, but I would suggest modifying it so that it either goes just to you or you and his child or even just his child, not the ex

  • It's his choice who is on what. She may be entitled to some of it if they were married at least 10 years. Some may be listed in their divorce decree.

  • His son should be on it all and his first wife until that son is an adult. After that just his son, and any other children that he fathers after.
