  • No suppository first- ask ur doctor- do what he says- do not follow advice from strangers on a website. Juice wont hurt, but call the doctor.

  • They make stool softner for kids, this will loosen the stool but not give them diareah. i would not do the supository yet. Juice helps and make sure he is not eating bananas and stuff that will make it worse. good luck

  • What do you feed him that makes him constipated? Does he drink enough water? Dairy, bananas and meat are all constipating. He should be eating fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes.
I never heard of a child being constipated until I joined Cafemom a few months ago; I am stunned at how prevalent it is and even more stunned that most moms don't seem to know how to prevent it.
Sorry for the rant, but you are, without meaning to, making your child uncomfortable. Please educate yourself (don't rely on a doctor for nutrional advice; they don't know much about nutrition).

I have a ton of healthy, tasty, family and budget friendly recipes; contact me if you would like me to forward some to you.
