What are some free fun things you are going to do with your children this summer?

We have a park that has sprinklers that is always fun to do, the library might have free story time and the bookstores. We will eat out more at restruants with the kids eat free deals,I've always wanted to do that but never got around to it.Going to the beach and swimming in the pool.Eating more fun juice drinks and cold desserts will add to the excitement.

  • We will head to the gulf coast at least twice. Every Tuesday at the Library for story and crafts, Umpteen trips to the pool. We will attend the Watermelon Thump in July. Schlitterbahn minimum once, twice if we can work it in. Strawberry everything from shortcake to preserves to hand cranked ice cream. Lots of hanging out in PJ's until way after 10 if we can get away with it. Our summer started with the kids going to My Moms for a week while DH and I went to Mexico. Now THATS the way to start a summer.

  • Go to the beach, the zoo, ride bikes, go for walks, we have a river here in town that is fun to swim in, go to pizza and play places like Papa's Pizza or Chuck E Cheese, free movies, sprinklers, slip n slide, library programs, go camping. Yes..I've thought about this before...lol!

  • We got a season's pass to the state park near our house that has great hiking trails and a beautiful beach. Not quite free, but very low cost per trip we make there. We go often in the summer. We go to a lot of free outdoor concerts of all different types of music that different organizations put on. The library and community center put on a lot of fun activities too and we got to a lot of those. We also just spend a lot of time playing outside in the yard. We have a great yard and lots of fun outdoor stuff for the kids to do right at home.

  • We don't do anything. I had having crap to do and there's enough schedules during the school year. Once the pool is opened the kids will be well occupied. Other then that we have no plans for the summer. Well we're having a block party in a few weeks (I think...might not happen if no one pays up and we don't have all the money she wants for it). Otherwise they spend their days playing outside with their friends and riding bikes up and down the street. We also have the hose and sprinklers to play in. They usually find something to do.
