Any moms out there have daughters doing modeling?

How do you feel about the industry? If your child were offered a contract for a well known agency would you let her do it? What if you could be with her through it all?
Of course, school comes first, but what about on breaks?

  • I actually went to modeling school after high school. Paid a fortune to find out I was about 7 inches too short to model. LOL. If you are going to be with her through it, then I don't see a problem, but please be careful, there are a lot of scammers and real creeps that promise a lot, ask for money up front for portfolios, want partial nudity shots (even with teens) and aren't legitimate, so just monitor everything. Don't allow her to be alone with anyone. That industry can be really brutal.

  • As long as you are not spending any of your own money, she is well supervised and she keeps up her grades and wants to do this, then let her; it is a great way to get money for college.

  • modeling is really fun.. if thats what she wants to do... i've been doing commerical modeling for about 5 years and its so much fun. just make sure that you know that the agency is legitimate...there's alot of places that seem legit but they'll end up being creepy old men that want nude shots of teens... so just make sure that you do your research.... if your daughter is 12-13.. you're probably talking about something like barbizon.. so in that case i say go for it. just make sure that she knows school comes first... modeling can become something that will rule your life.
