Bee stings and epi pen

If a person highly/deathly allergic is stung by a bee and they use an epi pen, do they still have to go to the hospital?

  • Most definitely! Call an ambulance. The epi is only temporary and they need to get to the hosptial ASAP. Unless you KNOW you can get here in less then 15 minutes then don't drive call an ambulance.

  • yes! And I wouldn't bother trying to drive them there, an ambulance would have all they need to make SURE they get to the hospital safely....extra epi, oxygen, etc. This is nothing to play around with.

  • Absolutely!  An epipen buys you time but you still need to get medical attention.
