  • I think we did it around 7-8 months but used it for maybe 2 weeks and went to real food... she had about 8 teeth at that time. I would wait a little longer or give him soft foods... IMO anyways!

  • I didnt start my daughter on any solids or anything really until she was 14 months old, and she was chunky and healthy.

  • We started around 9 months I think. My daughter got a mouthful of teeth early, but the general rule of thumb is if you can mush it with relative ease between your tongue and the roof of your mouth, an infant can gum it. Generally, stage 3 is recommended for crawlers.

  • Never. I thought it was stupid to pay for jars of real food. So we stopped stage 2s completely at 7 months and he was on table food.

  • I don't remember ever using them with DS. He went from stage 2 to table food at around 8-9 months. DD was breastfed so I started food late with her, at 6 months. So she was not eating table food 'til she was around 9-10 months. The stage 3 are mostly just bigger jars and some of them have small chunks in them... cheaper to make your own.

  • Never, when they are ready for stage 3 they are ready for table food.

  • Never. DS never took to babyfood and I didn't see a reason in spending money trying to get him to eat something that had not flavor, so we never went past stage 1 and just started table food..he did fine with no teeth and does even better with 3 teeth now (he is 10 months old).
