  • There is a risk to the dog once the baby comes along, you probably won't have enough time to take care of the animal

  • sure, it's actually cat litter and stool that can be troublesome. Use a poopscooper to pick up after puppy if your partner can't pick up. Being pregnant the odor could be more offensive to you. Make sure puppy is all up to date on shots for his sake and other dogs too. Just wash your hands a bit more.

  • Well, if the dog is getting regular vet care especially for deworming and you are practicing good hygiene such as washing your hands after handling dog poop then I would say no. There are intestinal worms that can be passed form dog to human such as round worms but almost all adults are able to fight it off plus simple things like washing hands and wearing shoes in the yard were the dog poops are usually enough to keep you from actually getting them. You should be just fine. enjoy your puppy.

  • You have never had a puppy poop in the house and you have to pick it up? Even with a paper towel...gross.

  • my GF just had a baby girl last november. she has two large dogs and one cat. baby came out perfect- all ten fingers and toes LOL she takes very good care of the animals (ex: shots are up to date, accidents are swifty and well cleaned in the house, all that good stuff) she also put up a baby gate to the baby's room and has trained the dogs that they are not aloud in there. my point is that if you train your dog well, they will typically protect that baby like it was their own pup. i know this sound wierd to hear, but in my own experiance things usually work out if you get something like a water baby... put some desiton and baby powder on the water baby and around the house so the dog will smell it. treat that water baby just like a real one so they get used to the point that baby is off limits for licking, biting, or anything else dogs may do. good luck!!
