What can i not eat while being pregnant??

I have heard from other pregnant moms that any type of lunch meat is bad for you unless you heat it up. But is thereany other things that you not supposed to eat?? Or eat a little bit of it at a time???? Really need help on this quesion please!!!

  • lunchmeats are ok to eat it is fish that you should not have alot of!

  • it depends on heathly u wanna be.. i ate processed food and at least 2 cans of tuna fish every week on top of fish sticks...dont know y i was craving fish...i know ur not suppose to eat anything out of the can b/c of some bacteria cant remeber the name of it and dont reuse ur water bottles either unless u wash them out with soapy water. at the end of my pregnancy i was eating whole lg pizzas and lots of salads when we could afford it. ice was another big craving for me to.

  • I was told not to eat shark, swordfish, albacore tuna, yellowfin tuna, any unpasteurized milk product, hot dogs and lunchmeats that are not heated until steaming, fresh caught fish (here in hawaii some of them carry a pretty nasty bacteria), and to take it easy on caffeine. Also if you don't already do it, washing fresh produce is a must.

  • You are not supposed to eat lunch meat unless you heat it up to the point of steaming. You cannot eat potato salad, chicken salad, cole slaw, etc unless homemade. This is because store bought mayo is made with pasturized or cooked eggs and store bought or restaurant versions may be made with raw eggs. You also have to limit your fish intake to 6 oz per week. If you eat tuna it should be light tuna and no albacore.
